CALIFORNIA CHESTNUT select grade
Honey golden with warm cream and cinnamon brown throughout. Very hard with a distinct grain, great for high traffic applications, homes with dogs and kids. We leave the quarter-sawn wood in our floors, so you get a fair bit of the flecking and figure that the California Chestnut is known for. One of our most popular floors, many folks choose Chestnut as a less busy and "contrasty" version of the equally tough East Coast Hickory.
