DOUGLAS FIR clear vertical grain

A Northwest classic for over a century, nothing defines the style of the historic Victorian or Craftsman West Coast style like clear vertical grain Douglas Fir. Fir ages to a wonderfully warm caramel/ amber tone with some creamy sapwood. We've developed sources for this old growth favorite that are conscientious of the source, from local large individual salvaged dead and dying hazard trees to those forests managed for long term sustainability per the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC certified).
We also produce a beautiful Alpine Grade fir, from much smaller trees that have grown slowly in thick, stunted stands due to years of fire suppression in our National Forests.
