BAY LAUREL
(California Bay or Myrtle)
Known as Bay Laurel in California & Myrtle in Oregon. Another stunningly unique wood that has its own distinct look, more like stone than wood. Cool colored with a lot of varied hues, from slate grey to chocolate browns, golds, creams and even a blue-ish tone. Great figured grain around knots and burls with a three dimensional depth to the grain. We run only a Character grade and a longer length Rustic grade in the Bay Laurel, which means there is a lot of select clear wood left in both grades.
